Fastest  Street Car in America

Chassis Originally Built

by Whiteside Racecars

Hello race fans, By now I know most have seen the many accomplishments of Denny Terzich's Camaro that is featured in the March 08 issue of Hot rod magazine. The car has been in several after market ads, it was on display at the gear venders booth at the 2007 SEMA show, and the PRI show. The chassis started out as a welded Alston chassis. Whiteside modified the chassis to except the dry sump system on the 427 Nickens  splayed valve engine. The rear four link was modified to give the car that slammed stance that is still evident today. The addition of the funny car cage was installed. I have contacted Mr. Terzich and congratulated him on his success with the car. I spoke with Mr. Terzich again today (02/07/08) and have come to understand that it has been mistaken that I was in some way slandering him. I would like to make it clear that I in no way wish to demote what Mr. Terzich has done to the car. I believe that he deserves the credit for what he's done. I also believe that it is important for the whole picture to be seen by everyone. This was my whole purpose for posting this message. The picture below is after completion for Shawn Nixon of Waco Texas, where it ran in the NMCA outlaw street class in 2000 with performances in the 7.70's.

The picture on the left is after Shawn traded it to Robert Haverland of Holland Texas for a custom Harley Chopper. Robert installed a mild blown 468 big block and drove it on the street. He eventually put carburetors on to make it more drivable. This is how it was when Denny Terzich purchased it.

The picture on the right speaks for itself.

 CONGRATULATIONS

Finished Product

At the 2006  Top Sportsman Banquet, Whiteside Racing's crew won Crew Of The Year award.  This is a well deserved award for the crew.  Many thanks to them for all their hard work.  I couldn't 't have done it without them.  My personal thanks to Dennis Whiteside, Carl (Peanut) Myers, Billy Weaver, James Keaton.
